Effectively Engaging Students in Daily Literacy Instruction

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide teachers with the knowledge and skills to successfully engage students in daily literacy instruction. Teachers will learn the different aspects of CAFE and how to tailor them to meet the individual needs of students within their classroom. Teachers will learn how to successfully document students’ progress, confer with students, and organize their whole group and small group instruction. Teachers taking this course will examine how CAFE has successfully been implemented in other classrooms and schools, they will be able to take these same lessons back to their own classroom to use immediately.  

This course is targeted for K-12 classroom teachers, principals, specialist programs, including special education, literacy, gifted and talented and instructional coaches.
