Foundations in CLD Education

This online course is designed to provide educators with a comprehensive look at research, policy, and evidence-grounded effective practices in U.S. schools for students who are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Teachers will learn: historical, social, multicultural, legal, political background of education of CLD students in the U.S. including emphasis on connection between culture and learning, cross-cultural communication, and family/community involvement. This course will guide educators to provide appropriate, meaningful, and effective schooling for these students.
